Prior authorization (also known as preauthorization) is the process of getting an  

agreement from the payer to cover specific services before the service is performed.

There are methods for obtain the authorization,

• Online- Using various insurance companies web portal we can obtain authorization before service going to be rendered. 

• Call- Need to call to the insurance company before service render and obtained the authorization number and approval in specific time periods depends on the insurance companies’ policy.
